Madiyar Kembilov: We played well with ten
The match between "Astana" and "Ulytau" in the capital within the 15th round of the Kazakhstan Women's Championship ended in a draw of 1:1. In an interview with the KFF League portal, the head coach of the Zhezkazgan team, Madiyar Kembirov, commented on the result of the match and expressed confidence in the upcoming match with the favorite.
– First, about the game. How do you assess the result?
– Considering our situation, the result is satisfactory. We received a red card and were left with ten players, but despite this, we were close to equalizing the score and even winning. In the second half, the team showed character and played much better than in the first half.
– Was the red card fair?
– Yes, a fair decision. Two yellow cards were given. The second warning was for an inappropriate foul in the center field. Why would a player with a warning commit such a foul?
– Tell us about the goal scored from the set piece.
– This goal is the result of a combination worked out in training. Asel Zholbolat is responsible for our standards. He performed brilliantly again today. I must say that in the first round he scored a goal directly from a corner kick into the "Astana" goal. Our girls are good. They played decently even with ten men.
– So, such moments are specially worked out in training?
– Of course. Asel works a lot with standards. This is no coincidence.
– The next opponent is "BIIK-Shymkent". What do you expect in this game?
– It will not be easy for any team to play against us now. Be it "BIIK", "Tomiris" or any other team - we can be opponents. And we will see from now on.
– You are also the coach of the Kazakhstan women's national team. Did you see the match "BIIK" - "Aktobe"?
– Of course. The atmosphere was great. The stadium was full of fans, show programs. Such games should be held. It was a very competitive match. The final score was 3:2. The intrigue was maintained until the last minutes. I would like to thank the organizers - the Department of Organizing the Championship among Professional Teams, its head Bakytzhan Pazylkhayr, his deputy Pavel Demyan and the manager for women's football Aizhan Kenzhina. Ambassadors, artists - everything was held at a high level. Such support gives a new impetus to women's football in Kazakhstan.
- However, you probably noticed a drawback?
- Yes. There are few Kazakhstani football players in the composition of "BIIK-Shymkent" and "Aktobe". Speaking as a coach of the national team, it is very important for our girls to gain experience in such important matches. This is necessary to be competitive at the international level.
- Many believe that the match in Aktobe decided the fate of the championship. Do you agree with this?
- They played both matches with their main opponent. But there is still the second round ahead, "Aktobe" still plays with "Tomiris" and "Kyzylzhar". This match will definitely not be easy. The women's championship is full of surprises. Anything can happen. Girls have a different psychology: sometimes they play poorly with a full squad, but they perform brilliantly with ten players. That's the beauty of women's football.
